About
Andrew Simone occasionally fancies himself a writer, but really prefers conversation and coffee. Consequently, he often finds himself sitting in cafés staring blankly at newspapers or wondering when the next interesting person will wander in.
He also does web design, development, and jack-of-all-trades web nerdery to pay rent (he made this website, for instance) and currently is a Digital Strategist at Muller Bressler Brown.
In the past he has worked at a winery, attended seminary, and spent a good deal of time studying Western thought.
His current interests include: digital culture, sound, bicycles, games (video, board, or card), typography, media futurism.
Andrew also contributes to clusterflock, a group blog dedicated to pretty much everything, and writes occasional gaming articles for The Idler Mag.
Here is a pdf of his résumé and Linkedin profile, if you are into those sorts of things.
Want some examples of recent work?
- Anne Trubek: a freelance writer for publications like the NYTBR , the Atlantic wanted a clean, text-centered theme.
- clusterflock: co-designed with Deron Bauman, we developed the site with an hyper-minimalist aesthetic in mind.
- Rockhurst University’s Helzberg School of Management: I spent weeks looking over the copy, untangling old site structure, and revamping it for easy navigation.
- Adjudica: front-end development and design work for a healthcare spending platform.
- Joey Magazine: a small Brooklyn literary zine wanted to move past print, so I made it happen.
